Combine the ingredients in a mixer with kneading attachment and mix briefly until even. Rest for 5 minutes, then apply uniformly to the surface to be glazed. Decorate as desired with almonds, sugar sprinkles and icing sugar. For a greater yield, prepare the glaze at least two hours before use. Prior to use, mix, adding egg white to achieve the desired consistency.
